Acceptable Use Policy

POVSync LLC ("POVSync," "we," "us") provides a service that automatically edits a creator's own livestream VOD (e.g., Twitch, Kick) into a long-form recap (the "Service"). This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Service and is incorporated into the https://povsync.com/terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the https://povsync.com/terms. We may update this AUP from time to time; the version posted at https://povsync.com/acceptable-use with an effective date of August 18, 2026 controls.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this AUP. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

1. Core Principle: Your Own Content Only

The Service is designed and licensed for one purpose: processing content from a channel you own or are authorized to control. You may submit content to the Service only where you hold, or have validly delegated authority over, the rights necessary to do so. See the companion Content Rights & Authorization document for how this model works.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Service to:

Process VODs and recordings from your own channel that you own or otherwise have all necessary rights to process and edit.
Ingest your own content through a supported, sanctioned path:
direct upload of your own recording;
re-upload from your own YouTube channel;
on Kick, authorized fetch of your own channel's VOD; and
on Twitch, your platform-sanctioned VOD export to your own YouTube channel, or direct upload.
Invite editor seats to act under your authority and solely on your own channel's content, where each such editor operates as your delegate and within the scope you grant.
Generate, download, and publish recaps of your own content.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not, and may not permit any editor seat or other person to:

Submit content that is not yours. Process, ingest, or submit another person's or entity's channel, VOD, stream, or recording, or any content you do not own or lack rights and authorization to process.
Submit content you lack rights to. Process content where you do not hold all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions, including content owned by third parties.
Submit infringing or illegal content. Process content that infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights, or that is unlawful, or that violates a platform's terms or any applicable law.
Circumvent ownership verification. Attempt to bypass, falsify, defeat, or interfere with channel-ownership verification, OAuth checks, or seat-authorization controls; impersonate a channel owner; or misrepresent your authority.
Resell or redistribute others' content. Use the Service to resell, sublicense, or redistribute content you do not own, or to launder, repurpose, or reposition third-party content as your own.
Abuse the Service. Engage in scraping, automated bulk submission outside sanctioned paths, reverse engineering, security circumvention, overloading or disrupting the Service, or any use that violates the https://povsync.com/terms or applicable law.

4. Your Responsibility for Editor Seats

You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account and by any editor seats you designate, including their compliance with this AUP. Editor seats act only within the authority you grant and only on your own channel's content; they have no independent authorization to use the Service.

5. Enforcement and Consequences

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we deem appropriate, including:

removing, disabling, or refusing to process submitted content;
suspending or terminating accounts, seats, or access, with or without notice depending on severity;
revoking authorized-access credentials or integrations; and
preserving and disclosing information where required by law or to enforce this AUP.

We cooperate with valid takedown and removal requests, including notice-and-takedown processes under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and may act on credible reports that submitted content is unauthorized or infringing. Our designated agent / abuse contact is contact@povsync.com.

6. Reporting Violations

To report suspected misuse, unauthorized processing of your content, or infringement, contact contact@povsync.com with sufficient detail for us to investigate.

Content Rights & Authorization

This one-pager explains, in plain terms, how rights and authorization work on POVSync LLC ("POVSync"). It is written for creators and editors who use the Service, and it also serves as an internal reference. It does not replace the https://povsync.com/terms, https://povsync.com/privacy, Acceptable Use Policy, or https://povsync.com/dpa, which control in the event of any conflict.

1. The Short Version

POVSync edits your own stream into a recap. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a limited license to process it so we can produce your recap. We process only on your instructions, and we delete the source shortly after processing — typically within 24 hours — keeping only the recap we generate for you.

2. Who Owns What

You (the creator) own or control the content of your stream and are the controller of that content and any personal data within it.
POVSync does not claim ownership of your content. We receive only a limited, revocable license to ingest, transcode, analyze, edit, and produce a recap from your content — and to store the resulting recap for you — solely to provide the Service. This license ends when you stop using the Service or delete the content, except for processing already underway and any retention required by law.

3. The Authorization Chain

Authorization flows in one direction, and every step depends on the one before it:

1. Platform content — your stream exists on a platform (e.g., Twitch, Kick). 2. You own it — as the creator, you own or control that content and the rights needed to edit it. 3. You verify + license — you verify channel ownership via platform OAuth, and you grant POVSync the limited license in Section 2 to process that channel's content. 4. You may delegate editor seats — you may designate editor seats who act within your grant, on your channel's content only, and never independently. An editor's authority is entirely derived from yours.

If any link in this chain is missing — for example, you don't own the content, or an editor acts outside your grant — there is no valid authorization, and the use is not permitted (see the Acceptable Use Policy).

4. Editors Are Your Delegates

Editor seats act as your delegates, not as independent users. They may only process the content of the channel you authorize, and only within the scope you set. You remain responsible for what your editors do and remain the controller of the content and personal data they handle through the Service. POVSync treats an editor's instructions as coming from you.

5. Third Parties Captured in Your Stream

Your stream may incidentally capture other people — for example, co-participants in a GTA roleplay scene, party members, or chat participants.

As the controller, you are responsible for the basis on which that content is captured, broadcast, and processed.
POVSync acts as a processor: we process this material on your instructions, only to produce your recap, and we delete the source within 24 hours, retaining only the recap.
In practice, such co-participants are typically themselves public broadcasters of the same scene (streaming the same session on their own channels). Even so, this does not shift responsibility — you, as the creator and controller, remain responsible for the content you submit and the participants captured in it.

6. Platform Terms Still Apply

Each platform sets its own rules about how a creator may use, export, and process their content. Those platform terms continue to apply to you independently of POVSync.

POVSync pursues sanctioned and authorized access paths for ingestion (your upload, your own-YouTube re-upload, platform-sanctioned export, or — on Kick — authorized fetch of your own channel's VOD).
Where available, POVSync seeks written platform authorization for the access methods it uses.
You are responsible for ensuring your own use of the Service is consistent with the terms of any platform whose content you submit.
